The jewellery of the Mycenaean civilization (16th-12th century BC), mainly of gold, displays a remarkable variety and wealth. Its production increased considerable during the 14th and 13th c. BC., when the Mycenaean expanded throughout the Helladic mainland, the Aegean, the eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus.
