Relief of Athena who leans on her spear with her head inclined pensively and contemplating. Is one of the most famous and yet most unpretentious works.It has an aura of finesse, sensitivity and austerity. 460 BC. Photo was taken in the old Museum at Acropolis in 1985. Slide has been digitized.

Andonis was born in Constantinople. I was awarded a B.A degree in Anthropology and History of Art from S.U.N.Y. at New Paltz, New York. I combine photography, archaeology, and nature. Recently, I reside in Greece, cooperating with publishing houses and magazines. I have published articles with photos covering from Neolithic, Cycladic, Minoan, Mycenaean, Bronze Age, Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic up to the Imperial Roman period.
