Description
Bronze hydria, a vessel used to carry water. The vase was made in the 5th c. B.C. The woman's head below the handle was repaired at the end of the 4th c BC. It was finally used as an urn in. 200 BC. Grave gifts from a female cremation burial found inside of this hydria in a Macedonian tomb. Cemetery of Pydna. Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
